Printing: HP
HP printers purchased by departments can be set up as either local or networked, depending upon the specific situation.

A local printer is directly connected to a single computer and typically used in offices where printing privacy is required for sensitive materials.
Since local printers are more expensive to operate than networked printers, they should only be used when necessary for privacy.
Networked printers are managed by the IT Systems team and allow multiple employees to print to them.
A department can grant and remove individual's access to a device as needed.
The printer queues are named using your department code so you can find the devices in your area.
When you are printing, you will choose a specific department-assigned printer. Once you select the printer, your document prints directly on that device.
You can print to a network printer only from a TCU-owned Mac or Windows device connected to the wired network or the TCU Faculty/Staff wireless network.
Each printer has a unique name that is usually on a sticker on the device.
The first time you are printing to a networked printer, will need to connect it to your TCU-owned computer.
